About

Unicycle Audio provides music recording and production services. We do recording of everything from a simple audition tape, to live orchestra concerts, to full CD album production. Our post-production services include mixing, editing, CD mastering, mastering for the web, noise removal, and restoration. We are dedicated to working within our clients’ budgets while still meeting their needs with uncompromising professional quality.

Unicycle Audio is Nathan Chandler. Holding a Master of Music in Sound Recording from McGill University, Nathan worked multiple terms at The Banff Centre as an Audio Associate, and Senior Audio Associate. He has been awarded for his recordings by The Audio Engineering Society, as well as The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He has since been back to Banff as a recording producer and guest faculty for the workstudy program. For three years, Nathan worked on state-of-the-art preservation, restoration, and long term archival management of analog and digital sound media as Audio Conservator at Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa. With an undergraduate music degree in Honours Performance from McGill University on bass trombone, he is experienced as a performing musician with wide variety of ensembles including the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and Orchestre de la Francophonie. As Unicycle Audio, Nathan does a wide variety of recording and production projects for young artists, professionals, and ensembles from across Canada and the United States. He is currently on staff at the University of Calgary, serving as Audiovisual Preservation Technician for Archives and Special Collections.
